Some notable sectors include healthcare IT, cybersecurity, fintech, and e-governance. These niche areas cater to both domestic and international markets, generating revenue and employment opportunities.

Three Dimensional Printing Hub

  • This project aims to establish a hub that can provide 3D printing services on demand and rapid prototyping for various industries and sectors.
  • The hub will use different types of 3D printing technologies and materials, such as FDM, SLA, SLS, DMLS, etc., to cater to the diverse needs and specifications of the customers.
  • The hub will also have a design and innovation facility to create and optimize 3D models and solutions for the clients.

Infrastructure Facilities

  • Maker Village - 3D Printing Industry Specific supporting ecosystem for startups and industries who are in the process of adopting the system.
  • Kerala Startup Mission - a government-supported incubator that provides support to start-ups in the state of Kerala, including those working on 3D Printing projects.
  • Incubator Support by Digital University
  • Fab Labs in leading technology institutions with the support of MIT.

Centre for Promotion of Additive Manufacturing

  • The state proposes to setup a Centre for Promotion of Additive Manufacturing in PPP Mode as a hub for end-to-end 3D printing innovation.
  • The state also proposes to setup a Bioprinting Lab in PPP mode for advanced R&D in healthcare sector.
  • The state would facilitate establishment on a specialised agency and/or consortium to coordinate- the activities for commercialization of
    technology.

3D Printing Education and Training Centre

This project aims to establish a centre that can provide education and training on 3D printing and related technologies, such as 3D scanning, 3D modelling, 3D printing software, etc.The centre will offer various courses and programs, such as certificate, diploma, degree, etc., for students, professionals, entrepreneurs, etc., who want to learn and enhance their skills and knowledge in 3D printing.The centre will also have a research and development facility to conduct and promote innovation and research in 3D printing and its applications.
