The Bekal Air Strip project is proposed to integrate Kasargod and North Malabar to the global tourism map through air connectivity to the destination.

  • Runway: The runway at Bekal Airstrip is envisaged as 1 km (1000 meters) in length.
    The runway’s width measures 23 m, providing ample space for the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. The dimensions of the runway are compatible with Code 2B requirements, suitable for accommodating Executive Jet operations in the initial phase.
  • Terminal: A compact, modern and efficient terminal building with a terminal capacity of 30 pax, that includes passenger check in counters, security checkpoints, ticketing and information counters and retail spaces. The terminal building is designed to provide a comfortable and efficient experience for passengers and airport staff.
  • Phase 1 (28 acres of government land): Will be developed in the first phase with a runway of 1 km length and 23m width
