  • Government of Kerala has proposed to develop Industrial park rubber industries. A SPV has been formulated with the name – Kerala Rubber Limited, it will invest 253.58 Crores into the development of Industrial Park in two phases in a span of 3 years in 164.86 Acres catering to 65 Industrial Units.
  • The Kerala Rubber Ltd (KRL) is a state-owned company that aims to promote and
    maximize the benefits of natural rubber production in Kerala. It plans to set up a
    Research and Development Centre, a Testing and Quality Control Centre, and a
    Business Incubation Centre for the rubber sector.
  • The proposed facilities shall be established in Veloor, Kottayam and Punalur, Kollam

Rubber Recycling Plant

 

  • This project aims to establish a plant that can recycle waste rubber products such as tyres, tubes, gloves, mats, etc. and produce value added products such as reclaimed rubber, rubber powder, rubber granules, rubber tiles, rubber mats, etc.
  • The plant will use advanced technology and equipment to ensure high quality and efficiency of the recycling process. The plant will also adopt eco-friendly practices to minimize environmental impact and comply with the regulatory norms.
