Kerala held an investor summit with Norwegian companies to strengthen bilateral trade ties

The Department of Industries of the Government of Kerala organised an event titled 'Investors Summit with Norwegian Companies' on April 26, 2023, at the Hyatt Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram. The summit aimed to foster bilateral trade relations between Indian representatives and Norwegian companies with investment interests in Kerala. P. Rajeev, Minister for Law and Industries, presided over the programme.

The gathering witnessed fruitful discussions between Indian officials and representatives from various Norwegian companies, exploring potential business opportunities and collaborations in Kerala. The event served as a platform for both sides to exchange ideas, share insights, and forge partnerships that would contribute to the economic growth of the state.

Martin Amdel Botham, Deputy Head of Mission at the Norwegian Embassy, stated that Kerala's industrial policy has a clear vision of making it a hub for innovative industries by creating a sustainable industrial environment. He expressed that Kerala is one of the best places for Norwegian companies to start their businesses.

The summit was organized in continuation of the discussions held by the team led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during their visit to Norway.
